ST Xaviers Collegiate School Kolkata has been a pioneer in transforming students into people of competence, conscience, compassion, character and faith. Collaborating with teachers and parents, the school provides a platform to the students to realise the emerging social, economical, political and cultural changes. The school houses two buildings divided by an intersection; One building is home to the primary section where students from pre primary to class 5 have their regular lectures, while the other building has students from class 6 to 12 and also shares its campus with the college. It is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations that conducts ICSE and ISC Examinations for class 10 and 12 respectively. The school is also affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education that conducts the Madhyamik Examination for class 10, and the students are given a choice to choose between the two boards. The school has an excellent faculty with most teachers having loads of experience. The teachers work closely with parents and keep them updated with the child's progress. The faculty at the school make sure that they instill confidence in their students, and make them realise their strengths so one can perform to his/her utmost potential. The school works 5 days a week with holiday on weekends. In India, Nepal and Sri Lanka, the Society of Jesus is responsible for 153 High Schools, 38 University Colleges, 14 Technical Institutes and 5 other Institutes with 8,085 lay teachers educating 2,34,338 students belonging to every social class, community and linguistic group.
